Sanskrit Seed is an independent mobile application developed and published by Christina Schaumburg, based in Berlin, Germany. Throughout this policy, "we," "us," and "our" refer to the developer of Sanskrit Seed.

Sanskrit Seed stores your preferences and content locally on your device only. This includes:
All of this data remains on your device. We do not use SQLite or any external database services (such as Supabase). There are no user accounts, no cloud sync, and no external servers involved. The app does not transmit any of your personal content, preferences, or activity data to any external service.
In short: everything you create and customize stays on your device. Nothing leaves your phone.
The only external service Sanskrit Seed connects to is Google Firebase, provided by Google LLC. Firebase may process the following categories of data:

All analytics data processed through Firebase is anonymous and aggregated. We cannot identify individual users from this data. No personally identifiable information is transmitted at any point.
Important: Your app preferences, selected content, and any photos or music you upload are stored locally on your device using Android's standard local storage mechanisms. This data never leaves your device and is not transmitted to Firebase, Supabase, or any other external service. If you uninstall the app, this local data will be removed.
Sanskrit Seed does not require you to create an account, log in, or provide any personal information to use the app. There is no sign-up process, no email collection, and no authentication system. You download the app and use it — that's it.
Sanskrit Seed does not contain any advertisements. We do not integrate any advertising SDKs, tracking pixels, or third-party analytics services beyond Firebase. We do not share, sell, rent, or trade any data with advertisers or data brokers.
We do not monetize your data in any way. Sanskrit Seed is entirely ad-free.
Firebase is a service provided by Google LLC. Firebase processes anonymous technical data on servers that may be located outside the European Economic Area (EEA), including in the United States. Google is certified under the EU-U.S. Data Privacy Framework, which provides adequate data protection safeguards for transfers of personal data from the EEA.

Sanskrit Seed may offer optional in-app purchases (such as premium content or features) through Google Play Billing. All payment processing is handled entirely by Google. We do not collect, store, or have access to your payment information, credit card details, or billing address at any point.
Your purchase history is managed by Google Play and is subject to Google's Privacy Policy. The only information we receive from Google is a confirmation that a purchase was made, which enables us to unlock the corresponding content in the app. This confirmation does not include any personal or financial details.
As a resident of the European Union, you have rights under the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR). Your rights regarding local data stored on your device:
Right of access — All your app preferences and uploaded content are stored locally on your device and can be accessed through the app. Right to erasure — You can delete all local data by uninstalling the app, or clear specific preferences/content through the app settings. Right to data portability — Your local data (preferences, selected content, uploaded files) remains on your device and can be accessed directly. Right to object — You may opt out of Firebase analytics by disabling usage data sharing in your device settings or by contacting us.

The limited anonymous data processed through Firebase is handled on the basis of our legitimate interest (Article 6(1)(f) GDPR) in maintaining, improving, and ensuring the technical stability of the application. Given the anonymous and minimal nature of this data, we believe this processing does not override your rights and freedoms.
Sanskrit Seed does not knowingly collect any personal information from anyone, including children under the age of 16. Since the app collects no personal data and requires no account creation, it is inherently safe from a data privacy perspective for users of all ages.
Anonymous analytics and crash data processed by Firebase is retained according to Google Firebase's standard retention policies. Your local app data (preferences, selected content, uploaded photos and music) is retained on your device until you uninstall the app or manually clear the app's data through your device settings. We do not have access to or control over this local data.
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Any changes will be reflected on this page with an updated "Last updated" date. If we introduce any material changes to how data is handled, we will notify users through the app or on our website.
